You cannot compartmentalise a human being with regard to health. The mental, emotional and physical are so intertwined that it is impossible to isolate one aspect when a human being is unwell. A holistic approach is the most effective way to treat any forms of illness.
And the best approach to health is prevention.
To give your body the best opportunity to remain healthy or to regain health when unwell, you need to live in a habitual state of calm, with a relaxed body and a relatively quiet mind. You need to live in the zone.
Unfortunately, we are not educated on how to achieve this state of being in our day to day lives.
The Zone Programs will teach you how to manage your mental and emotional states of being and teach your body to be in a habitual state of relaxation. In this state of clarity, you are more able to follow a good dietary program of nutritious and delicious food as well as an exercise program that really works for you. Therefore, the mental, emotional and physical aspects of health are covered.
Modern medicine tends to compartmentalise even the physical into parts and specialists focus on a specific part of the body where symptoms appear. The mental and emotional aspect of physical illness is usually ignored.
There is little attention paid to both the physical and emotional pain that people suffer due to illness. Pain medication is seen as the primary solution. Unfortunately, these can have negative side-effects if taken in high doses or for long periods of time.
It would be useful to minimise the use of these drugs by learning pain management techniques that can dissolve both physical and emotional pain. These techniques have been used to halve the pain medication for many of our clients, including those with bone cancer.
